Stallion owner/manager shall not be liable for sickness, injury or death of mare and/or foal, but will exercise his best judgment in care of same. Mare owner shall not be liable for disease or injury to stallion. Veterinary fees necessary and at discretion of stallion manager shall be paid by mare owner. Death of stallion, or other reasons that render him unavailable for breeding will make this contract null and void and booking fee will be refunded to mare owner.

A live foal is guaranteed from this mating, live means a foal that stands and nurses, mare owner agrees to notify stallion owner within 48 hours if a live foal did not result from this breeding. Breeding certificate will be issued by stallion owner when mare is determined to be safe in foal by licensed veterinarian.

A mare that does not produce a live foal in _____________ may be returned for service in _____________. Every effort will be made to get mare in foal in _____________. When mare leaves ranch after the return year, stallion owners responsibility for breeding the mare ceases.

Mare owner agrees to pay in full all stud fees, mare care charges, veterinary bills or associated mare care charges at time mare is picked up, refusal to pay in full will be cause for mare to be kept by stallion manager until all bills have been paid.
